Description

This felted flower is modeled after the Cymbidium orchid. The orchid is a popular long-lasting bloom to wear in your hair, in arrangements, as a corsage or even in bridal bouquets. You can keep this one indefinitely, wearing it on your coat, in your hair or even on a ballet flat.

The color of the orchid delivers strong messages. It brings a universal message of love, beauty, wisdom, and thoughtfulness. In China it signifies refinement, and the innocence of children. A pink orchid signifies pure affection.

In Nature, the Cymbidium can occur in a fantastic range of colors. This includes white, green, yellowish-green, cream, yellow, brown, pink, and red. (My favourite is called Charlie Brown.) When it's a felted flower - it could be whatever colour you want it to be! This particular one was done in Ever Green with Hot! Pink embroidered speckles in its throat.

This beauty has a strong clip that is easy to use. If you've never encountered one of these gems before, here's how it works!

1. Just press the tip of the clip down to snap open. Or if you are more inclined, hold the clip against the index and middle finger and press the centre with your thumb, the clip will pop open with a lovely *pop* sound.
2. Slide the open clip under a chunk of hair or fabric.
3. Snap the clip closed by pressing both ends down.
